A newsletter designing activity was conducted in the CCA period during the Habitat al Jurf 5 to 8 section in honour of the celebration of International Literacy Day. Classes were divided into 4 teams and all 4 teams designed their newspaper in the classroom by compiling the news articles they had brought from home. The teams designed the newspaper as per their plan. The success behind this event is the participation and involvement of each student by contributing creative news articles and presentations. The key benefit of newspaper designing is that it helps students to acknowledge and analyze that it is still a fountain of knowledge and information. They are still an invaluable resource to educators and students. A newspaper designing is an effective way to demonstrate knowledge and stimulate creativity in students. This activity seems to have several advantages, including increased leadership opportunities, more interaction and sharing schemes between the participants. “Grandparents are the footsteps to the future generation”
Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children.
Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour Grandparents, Habitat Kindergarten celebrated Grandparents Day on 12th September 2022 with great zeal and zest. Grandparents were physically invited to school and few joined online from their home country on this special day.
Our tiny tots welcomed them with welcome speech, welcome dance and Importance of Grandparents in our life followed by different games and activities done by the teachers and children. The students made beautiful cards to show their love and respect towards them. The grandparents expressed their gratitude and love to the teachers and commented on how special they felt. Grandparents Day was a memorable one for the children as well as the grandparents, who left with happy memories, loads of appreciation and heaps of blessings to the school and its staff.
